About Us

This unique business was started in 1964.

It has been operated by the present owner, Vy Biel, since 1970. Vy moved to the present site in 1980, building an early 1900s style structure. When she moved to the new location on ten acres of land, she went into farming and plant nursery growing.

Since that time a great collection of trees, shrubs and perennials have grown to maturity on the ten-acre site. About 7 years ago we started some selling on the Internet from our site www.tcsag.com, The Country Store and Gardens. Later we purchased a great little local food company, www.goodjam.com, which has a wonderful selection of Northwest food products, from a long-time neighbor.

By Passenger Ferry from Downtown Seattle Waterfront (Coleman Dock) - a 25 minute ferry ride!
Then by bus to the Country Store and Gardens.
By car from Point Defiance in Tacoma - it's a 15-minute ferry ride!
By car from Southworth in Kitsap County - it's a 10-minute ferry ride!
