When we started on the internet in 1999, we said "Seeing us is what we are all about!" because we have such a neat location. However, we find you are contacting us from all over the world. We wish you could come in and meet us face to face. Our next best idea is to try to duplicate the personal touch of face to face contact by presenting pictures of our staff who will be serving you as if you were right here. So we have decided to give a thumb nail sketch of some of us.

About her fifth year in business, she built the present building down the road a half mile from the original site - (now the headquarters for a wonderful coffee and tea company called Minglement Roasterie.)

Our location on Vashon Island's main highway has become a landmark in the community with its 10 acres of fields and flowers and attractive early 1900's style building.

Michael Lambert (Mike) was a computer buff long before he joined our staff, and he has been here well over 8 years. We can only conclude he was getting bored with our "ancient" (5 year old) store computer system, so he purchased us a brand new one late in 1998, and we all have been hooked ever since. Our lives will never be the same again. It has made it possible for us to meet all of you.

Mike is "Mr. Fix-It", along with his many other talents.

Stan Thompson is our Web Master. He contacted Vy in the summer of 1997. At that time she hardly knew the internet existed. He came back again in June of 1998 and convinced her to join a web site he had created: www.nwculture.com which focuses on Western Washington communities and their small businesses.

Vy would like to take credit for encouraging him to "branch out" to specialty nurseries, and from that we assume came his next web site: www.specialty-nurseries.com Our firm is still listed on both of his sites. However, he soon realized we needed to have our own site. So he has patiently trained Nancy and Mike to design, maintain, and update pages for our current websites. He has a background in fine arts photography, computer graphics, and communications which has enabled him to make us very "presentable"!
